Microsoft Teams for Linux is coming soon
Microsoft Teams collaboration services are currently available on multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. If you want to use the service on other platforms, you can also use the web version of Teams. According to the latest news, Microsoft is testing the Linux version internally, and is expected to go online in the near future.

As the UserVoice page says, Slack does have a Linux application, and Slack is the main competitor of Teams, this might be just enough to determine Microsoft to create its own app for Linux.
