Microsoft suddenly released a new operating system Microsoft Validation OS
Without any advance announcement, Microsoft suddenly announced a new system, Microsoft Validation OS, for software/hardware developers. The operating system is essentially based on Windows 11. It’s not for ordinary users either. From the name, it can be seen that this is a lightweight system.
According to Microsoft, this verification system is a lightweight, fast, and customizable operating system. Hardware defects can be diagnosed and verified using the command line environment. It is worth noting that the system also supports traditional desktop software. You can either create and use bootable USB media and run Validation OS from RAM or apply the image directly to the PC’s hard drive.
The Microsoft Validation OS system released by Microsoft this time provides AMD64 and ARM64 architectures, only publicly available as a WIM image. Enterprises in need can boot the Microsoft Validation OS system via USB/installation image hard drive. Enterprises can customize the system according to actual needs, such as pre-installing .NET Framework 4.5, Powershell 5.0, and adding drivers.
Microsoft emphasizes that the system itself does not contain any drivers. Therefore, in order to use it normally, the enterprise must make sure that the boot disk has been created after the driver has been added.
