Microsoft reminds that Windows 10 v2004 will end soon

Windows 10 v2004 released in May 2020 will reach the end of its life cycle. This version will end support on December 14, 2021.

The overall evaluation of this version as an important feature update is quite good, mainly because Windows 10 v1909 version is a minor update and does not bring new features.

The subsequent versions of Windows 10 v2004 are also minor updates without new features unless users directly upgrade to the latest Windows 11 21H2 version.

This is also the reason why the adoption rate of this version has soared after its launch. Of course, even the last feature update of Windows 10 also has a life cycle limit.

Windows 10 20H2/21H1/21H2 versions are minor versions that do not bring new features worthy of attention, but the support period of these versions is relatively longer.

In particular, the upcoming 21H2 will be the last version update of Windows 10, until the Windows 10 system enters the stage of history in 2025.

Speaking of Windows 10 v2004 version, the consumer version series of this version includes Home Edition, Professional Edition, Professional Workstation, and Education Edition.

These versions will end support next month. After the end of support, the consumer version series will no longer receive Microsoft support, and will not be able to obtain security updates to fix system vulnerabilities.

Therefore, Microsoft recommends that users upgrade to subsequent versions as soon as possible to obtain security updates. Of course, users can also upgrade to Windows 11 if they are having a supported device.
