Microsoft Releases KB4462917 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Anniversary Update
Microsoft provides additional half-year support for the Enterprise and Education editions of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. For other versions, please upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible.
For the Anniversary Update users, if the KB4462917 cumulative update is successfully installed, the system version will be upgraded to Windows 10 Build 14393.2551.
Please note that the Windows 10 Anniversary Update is currently out of the lifecycle and security updates are not available for Windows 10 Home and Professional.
This update includes quality improvements. No new operating system features are being introduced in this update. Key changes include:
- Security updates to Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, Microsoft Graphics Component, Microsoft Edge, Windows Kernel, Windows Datacenter Networking, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Microsoft JET Database Engine, and Windows Storage and Filesystems.
Known issues in this update
Symptom Workaround After installing this update, installing Window Server 2019 Key Management Service (KMS) host keys (CSVLK) on Window Server 2016 KMS hosts does not work as expected. Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
