Microsoft made it clear that Windows 10 Start Menu Live Tiles will not disappear
There are many recent rumors that the Windows 10 Start Menu Live Tiles will disappear. This is mainly because Microsoft has started to push new application icons with color.
And these new colored icons designed by Microsoft do not support dynamic tiles, that is, these updated applications no longer support dynamic tiles.
So many users guess that the dynamic tile function will disappear is actually a reasonable guess, but at this time Microsoft official said that the dynamic tile function will not disappear.
The Windows 10 development team responded to users’ questions during a live broadcast event, and the development team on the dynamic tile made it clear that it will not disappear.
The development team said that the dynamic tile function of the start menu is still available for developers and users, and Microsoft is not ready to completely remove the dynamic tile function.
In other words, Microsoft’s design of new icons does not support dynamic tiles. The function of dynamic tiles is still supported and available.
At the same time, according to the design drawings displayed by the Microsoft design team, Microsoft will improve the relationship between various colored icons and the background color of the start menu no longer dominated by the system color.
From the pictures displayed by the design team, the start menu may no longer support custom color matching. In the current version, users can choose the main background color of the entire system.
And Microsoft plans to limit the start menu background color to two types: dark mode and light mode so that the two background colors and new colored icons can also be perfectly displayed.
Microsoft said that this is the experience that users can get after turning off the live tile function, but Microsoft has not yet specified when this design solution will be updated to the official version.
