Microsoft is preparing new solutions to reduce the probability of problems with Windows 10 updates
Under normal circumstances, every time Microsoft releases Windows 10 updates will bring various problems, if there are no problems, it is an abnormal situation. Although users have been complaining for many years, Microsoft has not been able to solve such problems.
So Microsoft is still continuing to automate testing. For example, recently Microsoft is developing new artificial intelligence and machine learning models to enhance update testing results.
Because Microsoft’s update push actually relies on telemetry to collect data for judgment, through telemetry data, Microsoft can roughly know which devices have problems.
The hardware, software, and driver information of these devices will be collected and combined. When Microsoft detects a problem with a specific combination, it will suspend the update push.
Microsoft’s newly developed artificial intelligence and machine learning models will be automatically combined and tested on the server to determine which combination may be abnormal after installing the update.
If an abnormality is detected, the problem will be reported to the Microsoft engineer for optimization, and Microsoft will not push updates to this combination of devices until the optimization is completed.
Microsoft hopes to use this test method to solve the update problems frequently encountered by users, and the new machine learning model will also be deployed in the upcoming Windows 10 20H2 version.
