Microsoft forces users to install the Microsoft Office PWA application
We earlier mentioned that Microsoft seems to automatically install Microsoft Office PWA applications through Microsoft Edge browser updates.
That is, items such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will automatically appear in the application options after the browser is updated. These applications are all progressive web applications.
After the user clicks, it will jump to the Microsoft Office web version, but originally everyone thought that only Windows 10 test users would receive this push.
At present, more users report that the installation of Microsoft Office software is mandatory, and many of them are using the stable version of Windows 10 instead of the Dev version.
When the user restarts the system, the browser will automatically perform the upgrade. After the upgrade, the Microsoft Office software will be automatically installed and its icon will be fixed in the start menu.
Although it is very easy to delete these applications, you can delete them in the programs and functions of the control panel, or you can also delete them in the app list of the browser.
However, some media and users questioned Microsoft’s wanton use of its control to force users to install the Microsoft Office PWA application.
In fact, there is no way for users to turn off the push of the Microsoft browser, and the number of users who encountered this problem after the forced push of the browser update continues to increase.
At present, Microsoft has not yet released an explanation on this matter, but if Microsoft continues to push like this, it will inevitably cause people to dislike its browser and cause users to uninstall it.
