Microsoft Edge users may find extensions through Google Chrome Web Store
Microsoft has built its own application store for the new version of the Microsoft Edge browser, where users can select and download some mainstream extensions.
However, compared with the Google Chrome online store, the Microsoft extension library contains relatively few extensions, and sometimes may not meet user needs. Therefore, in the latest canary version, Microsoft recommends that users go to the Google Chrome store to find extensions.
Microsoft added restrictions in the new version of the browser. By default, the Google Chrome extension store program cannot be installed, but users can take the initiative to lift the restrictions.
Only need to click “Allow extensions from other stores” in the lower-left corner of the browser extension management interface, and Google extensions can be installed after permission.
Open the extension management interface in the latest canary version. Microsoft still recommends its own extension library, but it also adds a link to the Google Chrome store at the bottom.
After clicking, users can jump to the Google Chrome Store and then search for and download extensions according to their needs.
