Microsoft Edge browser is hidden in Windows 10 20H1
There is no doubt, finally, the Microsoft Edge browser pre-installed on Windows 10 is completely replaced by the Chromium Edge version. It’s just that Chromium Edge is still in beta, so Microsoft hasn’t started replacing it yet, but now Microsoft is ready to do the job. In the Windows 10 20H1 Build 18936 version, windowslatest found that Microsoft added new system options which have a new entry titled ‘HideUwpEdgeFromAppListIfWin32EdgePresent’.
This option automatically removes or hide the UWP/Classic Edge browser when you install Chromium Edge.
Windows 10 20H1 will be released around May next year. Chromium Edge should be stable and can be replaced directly. At that time, Microsoft may remove UWP Edge directly from Windows 10 and then bundle Chromium Edge by default for all newly installed users.
