Microsoft Edge 88 removes the Adobe Flash Player plug-in
Microsoft has previously announced that it will delete the Adobe Flash Player plug-in attached to all the company’s browsers because the plug-in is about to end its support completely.
All Microsoft browsers here include Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge based on Chromium version, and Microsoft Edge version.
At present, Microsoft’s removal action has begun, and the removal operation will be completed before the end of this year. By then, users must install alternatives if they still use the plug-in.
Microsoft has removed this media player plug-in in the recently launched Microsoft Edge Canary based on the Chromium browser.
The player plug-in included with this browser was developed by Adobe for the Chromium series of browsers, hosted by Google and pre-installed in Chromium.
However, Microsoft has decided to delete the plug-in, so testing has begun in the Canary version. The stable version of Microsoft Edge v88 is expected to be released at the end of the year.
At that time, the relevant options will also disappear. If users still need to use the player, they can only choose other browsers that can still include the plug-in.
