Microsoft brings “immersive reading” mode to Chromium Microsoft Edge
Immersive reading is the reading mode provided by some browsers. This is a feature that has been supported on the classic version of the Microsoft Edge browser for a long time.
Immersive reading can automatically remove modules around the content of the web page content, allowing users to focus on reading the text content without interference from other modules.
At the same time, it is better for the user to use screen reader software in the immersive reading mode because those non-text content need not be read out to save time.
Microsoft is always committed to bringing the great features of the classic version of the Microsoft Edge browser to new browsers, and immersive reading capabilities are beginning to arrive.
Users who have used the Chromium Microsoft Edge Canary version can turn on this feature in the experimental option and then perform a reading test on some websites.
Not all websites can call the immersive reading mode. It may be that the function is still under development and therefore there are some problems with the compatibility of some websites.
