Microsoft announces to turn off diagnostics data for Windows Enterprise Public Preview

All preview versions of Windows 10 will open the data diagnosis function by default, and it is a complete data diagnosis that transmits data to Microsoft’s server.

Privacy-conscious users do not want their usage information to be obtained by Microsoft, but if the user set to basic diagnostic information, they will not be able to receive the latest preview version.

Enterprises may be more concerned about privacy, so Microsoft’s mandatory data diagnosis method discourages many enterprise customers who want to test Windows Enterprise Public Preview in advance.

In the latest Windows Enterprise Public Preview Edition, Microsoft has released this restriction. As for why this restriction has been released, Microsoft has not explained in detail.

In the new version, enterprise-level users can choose to completely close the data diagnosis function, that is, all usage data will no longer be sent to the Microsoft server for analysis.

Microsoft said that the new data management options can help companies fulfill their compliance obligations and avoid being unable to use the Windows 10 preview because of concerns about data issues.

Under the new configuration options, companies can use the preview version and benefit from a series of services such as drivers, quality updates, and optional updates.

At present, this configuration option is still in the public preview, so companies that want to test need to click here to register for the public preview program of the Data Processor Service for Windows Enterprise.
