Microsoft brings a modern Disk Partition Management tool in the Windows 10 Dev

Microsoft has always wanted to replace the traditional control panel program, and those traditional setting functions and options have to be migrated to the new version of the settings application.

However, as you know, this is a very long process. In these years, Microsoft has migrated some functions, but most of the functions have not yet been migrated.

In terms of functions and applications, Disk Partition Management tools will receive a new version. After the development is completed, this function will also be migrated to the settings application and replaced with a modern version.

Now this new Disk Partition Management tool has been provided in Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 20175, and the tool is currently in the initial preview stage.

Microsoft has provided an initial preview version of the tool. In terms of functionality, the modern version cannot be compared with the traditional version.

At present, only things like renaming the partition name, changing the drive letter, viewing attributes, changing the partition size, etc., but these functions can basically meet the needs of users.

If you need more disk partition operations, you may have to use traditional disk partitioning and management tools or use third-party disk tools with more functions.

Interested users can go to the storage of the system settings of the Settings application to find disk partitioning and management tools, and Microsoft will provide more management functions in the future.
