Microsoft announces a 1.5 billion milestone for the Windows user numbers
For Microsoft, the Windows business is no longer the company’s primary growth business, but the industry still contributes massive revenue to the company.
At present, Microsoft has fully transformed its cloud computing business and mobile business, and the Windows business is stable. It seems that there will be no further development.
But even so, the installed capacity of Windows systems still reached a milestone of 1.5 billion units, especially the recent increase in the total installed capacity of enterprise users.
Of course, what needs to be mentioned here is that the installed capacity is all Windows versions, of which about 700 million Windows 10 systems account for nearly 50%.
For the trend of the mobile display:
As you know, the Windows system is the system that most computers run. It seems that the installed capacity of 1.5 billion worldwide is not too much.
The main reason is that computers are no longer necessary for most ordinary users. Instead, these users are beginning to use mobile devices to access the Internet.
For example, the number of mobile devices running Google Android is up to 2 billion, and the number of users using Apple’s mobile devices is as high as 1 billion, which is twice that of Microsoft.
Enterprise-level business continues to grow:
Microsoft’s latest financial report shows that based on the need to upgrade Windows 10, revenues for enterprise customers increased by 8% in the previous quarter.
This growth rate is too low compared to the 70% growth of Microsoft’s cloud computing business, but it is already a very high growth rate for Windows 10.
In contrast, the consumer-grade Windows 10 business for individuals and households has experienced negative growth for five consecutive quarters in Microsoft earnings.
From these data, we can also see Microsoft’s attitude toward Windows 10, so it seems that Microsoft’s stability is still a big problem.
