Microsoft added a black screen of death interface to Windows 11
BSOD, or Blue Screen of Death, is a crash interface that Microsoft has been using for many years in Windows. In this interface, Microsoft will mark the content with white text and the background is blue.
In Windows 10, Microsoft has revised the blue screen of death interface, which is not as blue as Windows 7 and the error codes that appear will be more intuitive.
In the Windows 10 Insider Preview version, Microsoft also introduced a green screen of death (GSOD) interface, which is mainly used to distinguish the blue screen of death interface between the stable version and the official version.
In Windows 11, some netizens have crashed and the interface has become black, that is, white characters on a black background. Other than the background color change, other content has not changed.
It is not clear why Microsoft added the black screen of death interface because there are other users who have also crashed but it is still a green screen of death interface dedicated to the beta version.
This means that the black screen of death interface is not specially prepared by Microsoft for the Windows 11 beta version, but it is not very like a replacement for the stable version of the blue screen interface.
As of now, I haven’t heard that some users have a blue screen of death using the Windows 11 beta version, so I still have to wait for the subsequent stable version to come out to know the situation.
