Microsoft will abandon the Windows 10 legacy volume mixer

Microsoft has added a new version of the volume mixer in Windows 10 Version 1803. The new mixer comes with more detailed sound card settings adjustments.

The specific settings are also integrated into the Windows 10 settings rather than a separate pop-up window. Microsoft’s goal is to replace the traditional control panel altogether.

The volume mixer is also a feature in the traditional control panel. It is customary for Microsoft to deprecate the simplified version of the tool directly after the introduction of a new alternative.

Only this time, Microsoft has not released a formal announcement yet, but it has begun to replace workers in the Windows 10 version 1903.

In the new version, the volume mixer popped up by right-clicking on the speaker button in the notification area has been replaced with a new release, and the old version of the jump link is deleted directly.

However, if you need to, you can also search SndVol.exe from Microsoft Cortana to access the traditional volume mixer, which can be used temporarily.
