With the growing development of the smart home market, more and more manufacturers have launched related terminal products, and upstream design companies have also increased their research and development efforts in related chips. On the eve of CES 2023, MediaTek launched the Genio 700 platform, which is designed for smart homes, smart retail, and industrial IoT products.
The Genio 700 uses a 6nm process technology and has two Cortex-A78 cores running at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0GHz. The AI computing power is 4.0 TOPs, supports 1080P@60Hz and 2160P@60Hz dual-screen display, and is equipped with ISP for better image processing. Genio 700 supports PCIe 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen 1, and MIPI-CSI interfaces, supports AV1, VP9, H.265, and H.264 video format decoding, and has a design service life of ten years, and supports ARM SystemRead certification, which builds on the Arm ServerReady scheme, can cover a wider range of markets and operating systems, and help software to be used out of the box in a diverse ecosystem based on
ARM hardware.“
When we launched the Genio family of IoT products last year, we designed the platform with the scalability and development support that brands need, paving the way for opportunities to continue expanding,” said Richard Lu, Vice President of MediaTek IoT Business Unit. “
With a focus on industrial and smart home products, the Genio 700 is a perfect natural addition to the lineup to ensure we can provide the widest range of support possible to our customers.”
The Genio 700 platform will be on display during CES 2023 and will be officially available in the second quarter of 2023.
