McAfee’s wallet-maker Bitfi has acknowledged security issues
Earlier this month, someone was “smashing their face” on the Internet, indicating that McAfee’s BitFi cryptocurrency wallet is not “unhackable.” This conclusion by OverSoft security researchers has been around for four weeks. Now, another hacker has posted more details on Bitfi on Twitter.

When asked if “will provide $250,000 to the cracker or $10,000 for the cracker,” Bitfi replied:
the company says it will make a “comprehensive public statement” on all issues, including the bounty payments, next week.
on a completely unrelated note, here is a @Bitfi6 being cold boot attacked.
it turns out that rooting the device does not wipe RAM clean. who would have thought it!?

Bitfi would instead try to fix known product issues than to recall this cryptocurrency wallet to continue marketing.
Also, Bitfi also apologised in the tweet: “While our intention has always been to unite the community and accelerate the adoption of digital assets worldwide, we realize that some of our actions have been counterproductive to that goal..”
For the past half day, McAfee has not immediately responded to requests for comment from reporters, nor has it published new content on Twitter.
