McAfee has submitted an IPO application and listed on NASDAQ

McAfee, a well-known security software founded 30 years ago, has already submitted an IPO application to the United States, and McAfee will also relist on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange.

McAfee is currently a joint venture company because the chip manufacturing giant announced a wholly-owned acquisition of McAfee in the early years. After the transaction, McAfee became an Intel subsidiary.

After completing the transaction, Intel announced the discontinuation of the McAfee name. At that time, Intel’s plan was to integrate security software and turn McAfee into Intel security software.

But then Intel reached an agreement with the TPG consortium, the latter holding 51% of McAfee shares, and Intel holding 49% of McAfee became a joint venture.

After becoming a joint venture company and being controlled by the consortium, the consortium announced that it would continue to use the McAfee brand name, so the McAfee brand has not completely disappeared.

Now that McAfee has revitalized its brand and is preparing to be listed on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange, McAfee is also acquiring a number of security companies to strengthen its strength. The brand name McAfee comes from its founder John McAfee.

In terms of the security business, McAfee is a veteran security developer, so the strength is still very strong. This is also the capital that McAfee is preparing to relist.
