Magisk creator John Wu joins Google and works on the Android security team
Users who are familiar with the Android system know that if you want to obtain the highest authority of the system, you need to root the system. If you have rooted your Android phone in the past few years and used it to implement some functions that the original system does not have, then you must have heard of Magisk. Today, Magisk creator John Wu announced that he will join Google’s Android security team.
It's official! 🎉🎉
Starting today, I'm joining the Android Platform Security team @Google 🤠
I'm very excited to collaborate along side with talented people that used to be "on the other side". Really looking forward to what I'll be working on in the future!

Magisk was developed by John Wu in 2016 as a tool for rooted Android users to continue to use their devices as the use of Google SafetyNet continues to increase. With Magisk, rooted users can still access those protected applications (such as Google Pay) without losing the extra features and flexibility of rooting Android phones.
Magisk just released version 23 last week with multiple updates. As for the change in this position, what it means for Magisk’s future is still unclear. We will continue to monitor the development of this incident.
