LG Releases 49GR85DC-B Gaming Monitor
LG has announced the release of its brand-new UltraGear series gaming monitor, with the model number 49GR85DC-B.
According to TechPowerUp, the 49GR85DC-B comes equipped with a curved screen with a display ratio of 32:9, a resolution of DQHD (5120 x 1440), a curvature of 1000R, a 178°/178° viewing angle, a refresh rate of 240Hz, a 1ms response time (GtG), a maximum brightness of 450 cd/m², a static contrast ratio of 2500:1, a DCI-P3 color gamut of 95%, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, with VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification.
The 49GR85DC-B is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4 port and offers some player-friendly features, including hardware crosshairs, frame rate counters, black stabilizers, and game-specific display presets.
Additionally, the LG 49GR85DC-B also features a headphone amplifier for audio input and output via DP/HDMI connections, supporting DTS Headphone X, and providing clearer 3D audio. It not only offers more accurate and excellent sound effects in games but also provides players with an immersive audio-visual experience in daily entertainment.
This year, LG has been quite aggressive in the gaming monitor market, having already released or launched several ultra-wide or OLED gaming monitors. Earlier reports suggested that LG’s goal this year is to continue promoting its high-end brand line while expanding its OLED product line.
For example, this year LG has already launched two high-end gaming monitors, the 27GR95QE and 45GR95QE. The former uses a 26.5-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a refresh rate of 240Hz, a response time (GTG) of 0.3ms, and a DCI-P3 color gamut of 98.5%. The latter is a 45-inch curved OLED screen with a display ratio of 21:9, a resolution of 3440 x 1440, a curvature of 800R, a refresh rate of 240Hz, a response time (GtG) of 0.1ms, a DCI-P3 color gamut of 98.5%, and support for HDR10.
