Konami reorganizes its gaming business
According to VGC reports, KONAMI reorganized its game development department this year and expanded its recruitment of game makers. In the future, it will focus on its own IP and bring it back to the game market.
Among them, Konami’s own in-house studio will be responsible for the new work of the “Devil City” series. The remake of “Metal Gear” was outsourced to Virtuos Studios in Singapore, and “Castlevania” and “Silent Hill” games are under development, one of which is run by another game developer in Japan.
Before Konami reached strategic cooperation with Polish game developer Bloober Team, some people speculated that Bloober Team will be responsible for another piece of “Silent Hill”, but the official has always denied this news.
Konami’s recently launched “eFootball 2022″ has a lot of bad reviews. There is a lot of texture and graphics technical problems, and it quickly became the worst-rated game on Steam, which seriously affected its corporate image. For this reason, Konami also apologized for this and promised to improve the feedback received as soon as possible.
