According to Google’s statistic, after six years of World IPv6 Launch promotion, IPv6 exceeded one-quarter, while in 2012 this figure was less than 1%. There is a vast difference in the popularity of different countries. The prevalence of IPv6 in the United States is over 34%, India is 33.5%, and China is only 2.93%.

The IPv4 address space has dried up, but technologies such as classless interdomain routing, network address translation (NAT), and carrier-grade NAT extend the life of IPv4.
