Intel’s 14th generation Core i3 maintains the 4 cores/8 threads configuration
Several days ago, portions of the specifications for Intel’s 14th generation non-K processors surfaced online, including base frequencies and cache capacities. However, specifications for the new generation Core i3 processors were absent, with only Core i5, i7, and i9 models detailed.
Today, Twitter user @g01d3nm4ng0 has shared specifications for the 14th generation Core i3 processor. Unlike the potential core/thread count increase in some of the higher-end models, the Raptor Lake Refresh-based Core i3 processor remains a quad-core configuration, deviating from previous rumors of an upgrade to six cores. In addition, this release also provides the Turbo Boost frequencies for the non-K Core i5, i7, and i9 processors.

Consistent with past speculation, the Raptor Lake Refresh is expected to deliver higher frequencies, with most models receiving an increase of 200MHz and a few just 100MHz. Furthermore, the Raptor Lake Refresh is likely to support higher-frequency DDR5 memory while maintaining compatibility with the existing LGA 1700 socket, and it is crafted using the same Intel 7 process.
