Intel XeSS will be available for Dolmen this summer
Earlier, Kiev Martins, producer of Massive Work Studio, said in an interview, that the upcoming game Dolmen will support Intel’s XeSS when it launches on May 20, leading many to speculate that this is also the time when Intel releases XeSS. Since Dolmen itself already supports NVIDIA’s DLSS and AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution, this will make it the first game to support all three supersampling technologies at the same time.
But things seem to have changed. Massive Work Studio has changed the statement of former producer Kiev Martins and says that “Intel XeSS will be available for Dolmen this summer!”
At present, the Intel Arc brand Alchemist (DG2) discrete graphics card has only two entry-level products for mobile platforms. The remaining three GPUs for mobile platforms will not be available until the early summer of this year, and the desktop platform will not be available until the second quarter of this year. It is indeed unreasonable for such an important function like XeSS to be launched alone at this stage. Normally, it should be released in conjunction with its new hardware. This is one of the reasons why Kiev Martins’s statement was surprising.
According to Intel, Arc desktop graphics cards will first release entry-level Arc graphics cards for desktops in China, which will be launched by OEMs. At the same time, the retail version will also be exclusive for a limited time which means it’s going to be a while before it goes on sale globally.
