Baidu forum post reveals Intel’s new generation of NUC 12 Serpent Canyon that
Intel will release to replace the previous Phantom Canyon based on the 11th generation Core and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics cards.
Intel NUC 12 Serpent Canyon is powered by Intel’s 12th-generation Core mobile processors. The highest optional Core i7-12700H, equipped with 6 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores, has 14 cores and 20 threads and has a boost clock of up to 4.7 GHz. It is the Alder Lake-H model that many high-end gaming laptops like to choose. The biggest highlight of the new generation platform is the choice of Arc A770M graphics card, using the ACM-G10 chip, equipped with 32 Xe-Core and 16GB of GDDR6 memory, belonging to the high-end model in the Intel Alchemist mobile series.
The new generation of products continues the high scalability. The front panel provides an SDXC card slot that supports UHS-II, Thunderbolt 4 interface, 3.5mm audio interface, and USB 3.2 Type-A interface. On the rear panel are 4 USB 3.2 Type-A interfaces, Intel 2.5G Ethernet interface, Thunderbolt 4 interface, 3.5mm audio interface, HDMI 2.1 TMDS Compatible, and DP 2.0 video output interface.
The shell of Serpent Canyon is still designed with replaceable patterns, and users who like DIY can customize their own exclusive patterns. Due to the high configuration and the volume of only 2.5 liters, Intel has added cooling holes around the Serpent Canyon, and there is a cooling grille on the back. With the vertical bracket, a reasonable air duct can be formed, so that the host can run stably and quietly.
It’s unclear when Intel will release the NUC 12 Serpent Canyon, but it should be available soon.
