Inno3D has launched two more liquid-cooled RTX 4090 GPUs
In recent years, as GPU power consumption and heat output have escalated, the cooling systems of high-end graphics cards have become increasingly sizable, extending their length and thickness, with three-slot widths becoming commonplace. Even so, these may not wholly suffice to meet cooling demands, prompting more manufacturers to opt for water-cooled products in their new high-end graphics card offerings.
According to VideoCardz, INNO3D is set to unveil two new water-cooled variants of the GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card: the RTX 4090 iChill Frostbite Ultra and the RTX 4090 iChill Frostbite Pro, the former being a dual-slot thickness, and the latter, a single-slot thickness.
Perhaps some gamers are unaware that INNO3D has previously launched water-cooled iterations of the GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card, specifically the iChill Frostbite and iChill Black models. Although both share identical PCB designs, their water-cooling modules differ. The iChill Black features a comprehensive all-in-one water cooling system, inclusive of a 240mm radiator, while the iChill Frostbite comes equipped with a water cooling block, requiring gamers to customize other components independently.
The newly-introduced iChill Frostbite Ultra and Frostbite Pro are extensions of the existing iChill Frostbite series, both pre-installed with a full-coverage water block.
The GeForce RTX 4090 iChill Frostbite Ultra incorporates a 24+4 phase power design, with a boost clock of 2595MHz and a default TDP of 500W. However, users can elevate the power limit to 600W via proprietary software. Moreover, the water block it employs features ARGB lighting effects, enhancing its visual appeal.
The GeForce RTX 4090 iChill Frostbite Pro adopts a more compact design, its water block lacking ARGB lighting effects, though its circuit design is identical to the iChill Frostbite Ultra. Its boost clock and TDP are somewhat reduced, with a boost clock of 2520MHz and a default TDP of 450W.
