HP recently updated their ZBook Fury series of workstations. It is equipped with the latest Intel Alder Lake-HX 55W processor, which can have up to 16 cores and 24 threads, RTX A5500 and Radeon Pro
W6600M independent display, up to 128GB DDR5 4800MHz memory, and 22TB storage space, of course, there are two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces.
The newly launched ZBook Fury 16 G9 workstation can basically be said to use the highest-end components like the aforementioned Alder Lake-HX series processors and professional-level independent display, it also provides a 16:10 ratio on the screen and an optional OLED panel.
According to a report by
Windows Central, the specifications announced by HP this time did not specify which processor would be used, but from the perspective of its memory support including ECC and non-ECC. Models with ECC memory may use the Core i9-12950HX, i7-12850HX, and 15-12600HX. As for the non-ECC memory models, the Core i9-12900HX, i7-12800HX, and i5-12450HX should be used. In terms of GPU, it is optional RTX A5500 or Radeon Pro W6600M.
In terms of memory and storage, the ZBook Fury 16 G9 workstation will be able to install up to 4 DDR5 4800MHz memory with a total capacity of 128GB. In addition, it also supports up to 4TB M.2 SSD, 2TB M.2 SED SSD and an amazing 16TB M.2 SSD, and the total storage space can reach as much as 22TB.
As for the screen of the ZBook Fury 16 G9, HP provides two 1080P and two 4K screens for users to choose from. In 1080P, one of the screens is 100% sRGB color gamut and 400 nits brightness, while the other is also 100% sRGB, but the brightness can reach 1000 nits. However, we are puzzled that 1000 nits can already be used for HDR content, but the color gamut is only 100% sRGB, which is far from the HDR color gamut standard, so this combination seems a bit strange.
There are also two 4K screens to choose from, an IPS screen with a 120Hz refresh rate of 500 nits and a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The other is an OLED screen with 400 nits brightness and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut with touch function.
Finally, in terms of interfaces, the ZBook Fury 16 G9 has 2 Thunderbolt 4, 2 USB 3.0, 1 wired network port, 1 HDMI 2.1, and 1 Mini DP 2.0 video output interface.
It is not known what the price of the ZBook Fury 16 G9 will be at the moment, but Windows Central reports that this workstation will be available in June this year.
