GIGABYTE Introduces Newly Designed BRIXs Series Mini PCs
Gigabyte has announced the launch of its newly designed BRIXs series of mini PCs, equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7030U series of mobile processors.
Gigabyte avers that this novel device, with its compact dimensions, proffers potent computational prowess, making it perfectly suited for any Internet of Things deployment, be it for office, educational, domestic usage, or even for digital signage applications.
Concerning the aesthetic design, Gigabyte has incorporated a fresh design language into its new BRIXs series of mini PCs launched in 2023, boasting smooth, soft, and clean lines, with beveled design around the base. Although these details may seem inconspicuous, they confer a concise, lively feel to the device. Coupled with the inclusion of a lightweight design, users can enjoy high-performance computing while possessing a stylish and elegant product.
The new mini PCs come equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7030U mobile processor, a considerable improvement over the platforms built around the past Intel 10th Generation Core mobile processors, with a 70% single-thread performance boost and a 140% multi-thread performance increase. The device is based on the Zen 3 architecture, fabricated using TSMC’s 7nm process. The TDP is 15W, with the options ranging from a minimum of a Ryzen 3 7330U with 4 cores and 8 threads, up to a Ryzen 7 7730U with 8 cores and 16 threads. Coupled with an integrated Radeon GPU, and utilizing two HDMI 2.0 interfaces and two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C interfaces (supporting DP Alt Mode), it can provide up to four 4K@60Hz display outputs, thereby adequately fulfilling varying user performance requirements.
This new product also offers two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A interfaces, and two USB 2.0 Type-A interfaces, along with a 2.5Gbps network interface, supporting Wi-Fi 6 wireless network connections (based on AMD RZ608). It comes equipped with two SO-DIMM slots, supporting up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 memory, and comes with one PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 slot (SATA III compatible) and one 2.5-inch hard drive slot for storage expansion. Some models also come with two additional M.2 slots (PCIe x1/SATA).
