GeForce 461.09 Game Ready Driver causes some Windows 10 apps and games to crash

Nvidia released the GeForce 461.09 game ready driver certified by Microsoft WHQL on January 9. This driver not only optimizes the game but also fixes a large number of high-risk vulnerabilities.

However, after some users installed the GeForce 461.09 Game Ready Driver, there were a variety of problems that affected the use, including performance degradation and even freezes and crashes in some software and games.

At present, some users have submitted feedback in the official forums of NVIDIA and Microsoft, but as of now Nvidia and Microsoft also issued a formal response.

According to user feedback, the performance of this version of the graphics card driver has been significantly reduced after installation, and the frame rate of some games has dropped after launching, and obvious lag problems can be felt.

There are also some users who have not encountered the problem of frame rate drop and obvious performance degradation, but abnormal flickering problems in Google Chrome and some software.

This kind of flickering problem does not only happen when the software is running, sometimes the screen may flicker by itself even if the software is not running.

Other users found that Adobe Premiere Pro crashed after updating the graphics card driver, which has a great impact on the creation and rendering of video creators.

Nvidia has now issued a statement in the official forum to respond to this matter. Nvidia said it has received feedback from users and is currently actively investigating these issues.
