From Galaxy Book 2 to 3 Go: Samsung Boosts Budget Laptop with Windows 11 and 5G
Samsung has announced the launch of the Galaxy Book 3 Go, a relatively affordable Windows on Arm notebook. This new model succeeds last year’s Galaxy Book 2 Go, featuring the Windows 11 Home operating system and 5G network connectivity.
The Galaxy Book 3 Go measures 323.9 x 224.8 x 15.5 mm and weighs 1.43 kg. It is equipped with the same processor as its predecessor, the Galaxy Book 2 Go, utilizing the third-generation Snapdragon 7c+ compute platform. Manufactured with a 6nm process, its CPU comprises four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, complemented by an Adreno GPU. The device benefits from the FastConnect 6700 mobile connectivity system, offering enhanced Wi-Fi 6/6E transmission speeds and supporting Bluetooth 5.1. Its integrated Snapdragon X53 5G modem and RF system can deliver connectivity speeds up to 3.7 Gbps.
The Galaxy Book 3 Go also features 4GB of LPDDR4x memory, 128GB of eUFS storage, a MicroSD card slot, two USB Type-C ports, a USB Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Additionally, it includes two 1.5W speakers and a 720P webcam. Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Book 3 Go with a 42.3Wh battery, providing a 45W fast charging feature that allows for 8 hours of use after just 30 minutes of charging.
Samsung has tailored the Galaxy Book 3 Go specifically for students, though it also serves as a suitable companion for office workers. The new product will be available for purchase from January 2, 2023, through Samsung stores (both online and offline) and three major mobile network operators (KT, LG Uplus, and SKT) in South Korea, priced at 557,700 Korean Won.
