Firefox Preview for Android will support Extensions
The ability to install extensions in a desktop browser is a very, very important feature, and users can customize various functions to suit their actual needs with the help of extensions. However, most browsers on the mobile platform do not support the installation of extensions. This may be based on security considerations or hardware performance considerations. But obviously the inability to install extensions will lose important features for the browser, so the new version that Firefox is developing has begun to schedule extensions.
Mozilla is developing a new Firefox browser for Android, Firefox Preview and the current stable version of the Android platform only fixes bugs and does not add new features. After the official release of Firefox Preview, it will be the main browser of the Android platform, and this version will be moved to the extended support. It is not clear when this new version will be released, but the Mozilla has also announced in advance that the new version will support the installation of various extensions. So on the Android platform, the Firefox browser greatly enhances the competitiveness through this new version, but I don’t know if other browsers also have plans to support expansion.

“We’re happy to confirm that GeckoView is currently building support for extensions through the WebExtensions API. This feature will be available in Firefox Preview, and we are looking forward to offering a great experience for both mobile users and developers.”
