Exynos 2200 official version frequency data leaks, GPU frequency is 1.25 GHz

A few days ago, a device called Samsung SM-S906B appeared in the Geekbench benchmark database. According to the information in the database, it is suspected to be equipped with Samsung’s long-rumored Exynos 2200. However, the frequency is low, it is probably not the final specification, more like an engineering sample used for testing. This SoC has attracted much attention because it uses AMD’s GPU technology. In the previously leaked sporadic tests, it has a very good performance, which is stronger than Apple A14 Bionic.

According to Twitter user @universeice, the final frequency of the Samsung Exynos 2200 CPU is very similar to the devices appearing in the Geekbench benchmark database. A Cortex-X2 super-large core has a frequency of 2.9 GHz, three large cores have a frequency of 2.8 GHz, and four small cores have a frequency of 2.2 GHz. The performance is expected to be stronger than Qualcomm Snapdragon 888. The GPU codenamed “Voyager” is based on the RDNA 2 architecture, 6 CUs totaling 384 stream processors, and the final frequency is 1250 MHz, which is estimated to provide 1 TFLOPS FP32 computing power.

There have been rumors that Samsung will release this SoC this summer, but it has not been seen. It is said that the development of Exynos 2200 has encountered some problems, but it is not the reason for performance. It mainly encountered setbacks in manufacturing, and there are also power consumption problems.
