Elon Musk established an artificial intelligence technology company called X.AI Corp
Despite recent joint calls from numerous industry professionals for companies to temporarily halt the development of large-scale natural language models for at least the next six months, news of Twitter’s significant GPU acquisitions has surfaced. The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times have cited sources indicating that Elon Musk has discreetly established an artificial intelligence technology company named X.AI Corp.
Available documentation reveals that X.AI Corp is registered in Nevada, USA, with Elon Musk as the sole board member. Jared Birchall, the managing director of a family office wealth management advisory firm, serves as the company’s secretary.
Although the future operations of X.AI Corp remain uncertain, it is anticipated that the company will engage in the development of artificial intelligence applications, potentially integrating its technology into Tesla and Twitter products and services.
Prior to this, Elon Musk had co-founded OpenAI but resigned from the board of directors in 2018 due to disagreements over development philosophies. With the recent recruitment of former DeepMind member Igor Babuschkin and other artificial intelligence experts, along with the acquisition of numerous GPUs, it is evident that Musk plans to independently delve into AI research and development.
