EA and Ascendant Studios launch first-person magic-related game Immortals of Aveum
EA and Ascendant Studios jointly announced the upcoming release of “Immortals of Aveum,” a new single-player first-person magical shooter game, scheduled for July 20th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms via the EA App, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
Developed by Ascendant Studios and published under the EA Originals label, this game is set in an original fantasy world. Players will experience a story-driven, deeply engaging narrative from the perspective of protagonist Jack, joining the elite organization of “Battle Mages” and masters blue, green, and red magic to unleash intricate combo attacks and timely counterattacks on hordes of enemies.
“Immortals of Aveum” melds a contemporary narrative with a fantastical backdrop, featuring unforgettable characters, high-paced action, and a break from conventional first-person shooter gameplay in favor of magic-based combat in the world of Aveum.
Growing up in abject poverty, Jack is an “anomaly”—an individual who unexpectedly manifests magical abilities later in life. “In it, players take on the role of Jack, a Magnus (this game’s take on a battlemage), who was born an “unforeseen” – or someone who was born with no magical ability but gained it in a moment of trauma. He’s unique because he has the ability to make use of all three colors of magic: blue, red, and green.”
“Immortals of Aveum” is priced at $59.99 (PC) and $69.99 (console), with pre-orders available now, including a bonus “Purified Arcane Sigil” to enhance Jack’s magical prowess. For those purchasing the Deluxe Edition at $69.99 (PC) and $79.99 (console), additional items include a unique sigil, three rings, two bracelets, and three totems.
Starting July 20th, EA Play Pro members can access the Deluxe Edition content through the EA App.
