Due to the huge demand for 12VHPWR cables, Orders from some manufacturers are delayed

At present, NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards based on the Ada Lovelace architecture are equipped with a 16Pin 12VHPWR interface. Recently, players have reported that the 12VHPWR interface of their graphics card and its power supply cable has overheated and melted. NVIDIA has notified all partners that damaged graphics cards in similar incidents to need to be sent to its headquarters for further failure analysis, which should be the first time NVIDIA has taken a similar approach.

According to Wccftech, due to the huge demand for 12VHPWR cables, many manufacturers have exhausted their inventory and need time to replenish. MODDIY is one of the manufacturers that produces 12VHPWR cables and has issued a statement on the official website confirming that there will be a delay in supply:

“Yes, there are thousands and thousands of 12VHPWR custom cable orders all received at the same time recently. But we are still handling them quite well so far.

It is lucky that 12VHPWR cable is just one of the 5000+ product types that we are selling, and we are having full force processing all these orders ASAP for all customers.

Sorry, you may expect 1 to 3 days of processing delay at most for 12VHPWR orders at this moment. All 12VHPWR orders should be shipped out within 3 working days in general.”

Since the 12VHPWR cable is more prone to damage, and many players have begun to buy related adapter connectors, such as the 90° bending adapter launched by Cablemod, the market demand has surged. As more and more manufacturers produce related accessories, it is believed that the short-term out-of-stock problem will be resolved soon.
