Dual-screen Chromebook codenamed ‘Palkia‘ is in development

Last year, Microsoft released the Surface Neo, a dual-screen device equipped with Windows 10X. However, in May, Panos Panay, Microsoft chief product officer, announced that due to the slow progress in research and development due to the coronavirus epidemic, Microsoft will not launch Surface Neo as scheduled this year. At the same time, Windows 10X’s research and development focus will also shift to single-screen devices.

However, in the foreseeable future, dual-screen devices will still be a direction for the transformation of traditional laptops. After all, this innovative experience can make the interaction between users and machines more intuitive.

Microsoft Edge supports Google Chrome extensions

That’s what Google thinks. At present, 9to5google reveals the news that there is a secret project under research and development within Google, this project is code-named “Palkia”, the goal is to create a dual-screen device running Chrome OS.

At present, the project is in the early development stage, and the information that can be revealed is limited. I only know that this dual-screen Chromebook will consist of two touch screens and a touchpad, and the size is still the size of a traditional notebook.
