Drivers for Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards are coming soon
Although AMD has recently updated the drivers for Radeon graphics cards, they are only used for the latest Radeon RX 7900 series products. The graphics card drivers for the Radeon RX 6000 series and earlier have not been updated for two months, and the last update stayed on AMD Software Adrenalin Edition 22.11.2.
Since the launch of GPUs based on the RDNA 3 architecture, AMD’s software team has focused on the Radeon RX 7900 series of graphics cards, but this situation will improve in many ways. Frank Azor, Chief Architect of AMD Gaming Solutions and Marketing, said on his social media account that AMD is working on a new driver for the Radeon RX 6000 series and earlier graphics cards, targeting release within the next two weeks.
AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.11.2 fixed the following bugs
- During video playback and window switching, an intermittent driver timeout or black screen may occur on Radeon™ RX 6000 series GPUs using some 240Hz refresh rate displays or high refresh rate primary display plus low refresh rate secondary display configurations.
- Stuttering may occur during video playback using hardware acceleration with Firefox on Radeon™ RX 6000 series GPUs.
- AMDRSServ.exe may cause GPU utilization to remain at 100% after closing games on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon™ 570.
- An intermittent driver timeout or black screen may occur while videos are playing in VRChat™ on Radeon™ RX 6000 series GPUs.
If users encounter any problems during the use of this version of the driver, please be sure to report them to the AMD software team so that they can be resolved as soon as possible before the release of the new version of the driver.
