Acer plans to introduce Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards to the DIY market

It was previously reported that Acer will officially release graphics card products this year, mainly releasing GPUs equipped with AMD and Intel in the early stage. This project has been planned for a long time. Acer released the Predator series Arc A770 graphics card named “Predator BiFrost” last year, which uses a specially customized Predator cooling system.

Although the PC market is still in decline, Acer decided to increase its investment in the consumer market, apparently believing that it is still profitable. In the past, Acer mainly focused on its own brand of notebooks and desktops. This time, it hopes to bring the Predator series brand to the high-end and customized DIY fields. In fact, Acer’s memory and storage products have already taken action.

According to Wccftech, Acer may partner with AMD to launch its custom Radeon RX 7900 series graphics cards. I don’t know whether to use the same heat dissipation module as Intel’s Arc graphics card or redesign it. According to industry insiders, Acer will provide very competitive prices and high-quality designs to compete with GeForce RTX 4070 Ti/4080 graphics cards from Nvidia’s partners.

It’s unclear why Acer has no plans for Nvidia. Acer is no stranger to Nvidia’s GPUs. It has GeForce RTX 30 series predator graphics cards used in its own product line, which are also custom-designed, but there are no GeForce RTX 40 series products yet.
