Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition has been updated with VRR support on Xbox Series X|S

Capcom has released an update for Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, which introduces support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on Xbox Series X/S. Capcom says that adding a variable refresh rate will bring a smoother experience on compatible display devices. Earlier, support for variable refresh rates was available in the PlayStation 5 version.

Variable refresh rate can dynamically adjust the refresh rate of the display device to be the same as the frame rate output by the GPU, which can minimize or eliminate afterimages and enhance visual effects. Normally, the introduction of a variable refresh rate will make the game feel smoother when playing because the scene can be rendered in real-time, not only does the image look sharper, but the input lag is also reduced.

Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition has been optimized on the basis of the original version, adding controllable characters. As a next-generation console version, it has logged on to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S platforms, enhancing the game screen and supporting ray tracing. Players can freely switch image effects through option settings according to their own preferences and the actual game environment.
