Developer releases HMD Nokia Bootloader unlocking program to unlock and boot Nokia phone for free
HMD NOKIA is not open to unlock, so if you want to flash the phone, there is a certain degree of difficulty. Most of the unlocking methods need to pay money to unlock.
Later, Nokia also opened up to some models to unlock the device without taking the initiative to abandon the after-sales service, which allows some professional users to unlock the device according to their needs.
Now Hikari Calyx dedicated to unlocking Nokia devices has released MTKClient, an open-source program that can directly unlock Nokia devices.
The program is open source based on the MIT protocol and is an unofficial MTK reverse and flash memory read and write tool. Of course, the most important thing is to unlock the Nokia Bootloader.
After unlocking, you can flash the device. For example, the third-party ROM favored by Nokia users is MIUI, and some models can flash the MIUI system.
MTKClient is developed based on Python and supports both Windows and Linux. Of course, the operation process is relatively complicated and only suitable for users with strong hands-on ability.
If you use MTKClient on the Windows platform, you also need to install the MTK COM driver, plus the USBDK tool to make the program run.
In addition, the developer has tested that this tool can be used on both Windows 10 and Windows 11. For Linux, it is recommended to use the Ubuntu system to operate it.
If you are using an HMD NOKIA device and it has not been unlocked yet, you can try to unlock it and then flash other systems if you are interested.
