DeepCool showcased its new FT series fans at CES 2024

TechPowerUp reports that DeepCool showcased their new FT series fans at CES 2024, featuring a design somewhat reminiscent of the FK series, particularly notable for their iconic vibration-damping pads at each corner. The fans boast a transparent design at the hub, allowing a clear view of the motor’s construction, complemented by blue lighting that enhances their technological aesthetic.

In addition to the standard sizes of 120mm (FT12) and 140mm (FT14), the FT series also includes SLIM versions (with thickness yet to be disclosed, estimated at 15mm), in 90mm (FT9 SLIM) and 120mm (FT12 SLIM) variants, offering greater flexibility for users needing to install fans in smaller spaces.

The DeepCool FT12/14 fans are equipped with a 3-phase, 10-pole, 12-slot FOC (Field-Oriented Control) motor with integrated MQ magnets, and utilize FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) technology. They boast an impressive Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) of 80,000 hours and come with a 5-year limited warranty.

The FT12 features a 9-blade design, delivering a maximum airflow and air pressure of 79 CFM and 4.2 mmH2O, respectively, with a noise level not exceeding 29.9 dB(A). The FT14, with 7 blades, offers the same maximum airflow and noise level as the FT12, at 79 CFM and ≤29.9 dB(A), but with a slightly lower maximum air pressure of 3.6 mmH2O, indicating a lower rotational speed than the FT12. The FT series is positioned as a high-performance line.

Notably, the FT series also includes two SLIM fan models, the FT9 SLIM and FT12 SLIM, both featuring a 3-phase, 6-pole FOC motor with integrated MQ magnets and a 3-year warranty.

The FT9 SLIM, with a 7-blade design, achieves a maximum airflow and air pressure of 31.18 CFM and 4.8 mmH2O, respectively, with a noise level not exceeding 31 dB(A). The FT12 SLIM, with 9 blades, offers increased maximum airflow and air pressure at 58.9 CFM and 2.42 mmH2O, respectively, with a noise level not exceeding 32.2 dB(A). Despite their slim profile, these fans deliver performance parameters comparable to some conventional 25mm thick models.
