CORSAIR releases MP700 PRO SE PCIe 5.0 SSD
Last year, Corsair introduced the MP700 PRO PCIe 5.0 SSD, which boasted maximum sequential read and write speeds of 12400 MB/s and 11800 MB/s, respectively, and was available in three versions: without a heatsink, with air-cooling, and with a split-type water-cooling system. Now, Corsair has launched the new MP700 PRO SE PCIe 5.0 SSD, which offers even more robust performance.
The MP700 PRO SE SSD, conforming to the M.2 2280 specification, utilizes a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface and supports the NVMe 2.0 standard. It is equipped with 3D TLC NAND flash memory and comes in capacities of 2TB and 4TB. This model achieves a maximum sequential read speed of 14000 MB/s and a maximum sequential write speed of 12000 MB/s, and supports AES 256-bit encryption. While the MP700 PRO SE SSD requires a cooling module to achieve optimal performance, most motherboards already integrate M.2 cooling features, which are sufficient to meet its cooling needs. Corsair also offers the MP700 PRO SE SSD in versions with air-cooling and split-type water-cooling to satisfy the demands of the most exigent gamers and ensure peak performance.
The MP700 PRO SE SSD has been optimized for platforms equipped with the latest 14th generation Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors, and is backward compatible with PCIe 4.0/3.0 standards. Users can also employ Corsair’s SSD Toolbox software to perform advanced drive control functions on their desktop, such as secure erase and firmware upgrades.
The heatsink-free version of the MP700 PRO SE SSD will be available soon, while the air-cooled and split-type water-cooled versions are expected to hit the market in June. Corsair provides a five-year warranty for these products.
