The Core i9-12900KS, like the current Core i9-12900K, has 8 P-Cores plus 8 E-Cores and 30MB L3 cache. The base power consumption has also increased from 125W to 150W, and the maximum turbo power consumption has also increased to 260W.
At present, this processor has been tested on the ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F motherboard with 32GB DDR5-4800 memory. Its Geekbench 5 single-core scores ranged from 2080 to 2101, and multi-core scores ranged from 18962 to 19010.
Compared with the official performance ranking of Geekbench, the single-threaded performance of the Core i9-12900KS is about 5% higher than that of the Core i9-12900K, and the multi-threaded performance is 10% higher. This processor was quoted at retailers earlier than $750, which is much higher than the Core i9-12900K and is expected to be released in early March.
