Cherry Releases New UM Series Microphones

German manufacturer Cherry announced the launch of the UM series microphones for streaming media and office use, marking a major expansion of its product line in the audio field. Cherry said that the new product line caters to the needs of today’s remote communication and collaboration, as well as audio and video content creators and live broadcasts, and can find suitable solutions from home offices to professional streaming media studios. Thanks to high-quality components, the microphones of the UM series also provide the best possible sound for virtual meetings.

There are three products in the CHERRY UM series microphones, namely UM 3.0, UM 6.0 ADVANCED, and UM 9.0 PRO RGB, all of which have extremely high durability. At the same time, it integrates many user-friendly functions, including a one-button mute, radio gain adjustment, USB plug-and-play, integrated headphone jack, etc. In addition to PC, UM series microphones are also used for Mac and PlayStation 4/5, plug and play without any configuration.

CHERRY UM3.0 has a sampling rate and bit rate up to 96KHz, 24bit, and adopts a cardioid pickup method, which is suitable for single use. According to Cherry, this product is very suitable for home office use, can provide clear sound effects in video conferences, or be used to record audio podcasts, narration, or musical instruments.

UM 6.0 ADVANCED has a sampling rate and bit rate up to 192KHz, 24bit, and provides two pickup methods, cardioid and omnidirectional, so users can record sound from a single direction, or the sound of an entire room, depending on the recording needs. As a professional recording solution, UM 6.0 ADVANCED is easy to carry. At the same time, it is equipped with a standard shock mount to separate the microphone from the stand to prevent the impact of vibration on the recording. This mic also comes with a key feature: the sensitivity can be controlled directly on the mic via a knob.

The sampling rate and bit rate of UM 9.0 PRO RGB are also 192KHz and 24bit, and it also comes standard with a shock mount.
