British Prime Minister Boris Johnson also joined in persuading Arm to list in London
Financial Times pointed out that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has sent a letter to Softbank executives, hoping that Softbank will allow Arm to resume listing in London. Before that, senior officials of the British government and the head of the London Stock Exchange also actively persuaded Softbank to change the original plan to list Arm on the New York Stock Exchange.
Chris Philp, Minister of State at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media, and Sport, and Gerry Grimstone, Under Secretary for Investment at the UK Department of International Trade, who is responsible for lobbying, will meet with Softbank executives in the coming weeks. There will be discussions on where Arm will be listed in the future.
However, at present, Softbank still has a high willingness to choose to list in New York, because it is easier to attract more investors.
