Blizzard confirms Diablo IV has two expansions in production
When considering which game has garnered the most popularity recently, Blizzard’s latest masterpiece, “Diablo IV,” inevitably tops the list. Numerous players have experienced wait times to access servers or connectivity issues, inadvertently underscoring the game’s popularity. While the company has not released specific sales figures, it has declared “Diablo IV” to be the fastest-selling game in Blizzard’s history.
Recently, Rod Fergusson, the producer of the “Diablo” series, engaged in an interview with the media, outlining the preparatory work for the final stages of the game and the future development plans. He disclosed that the development team is exceptionally busy with much work yet to be done, including the production of two expansions.
Blizzard also aims to focus on sustainable new content updates for “Diablo IV,” such as regular seasonal updates. Although Rod Fergusson did not detail the specifics of the updates, referencing past update frequencies and circumstances, it is anticipated that new playable areas, new Bosses, or professions, among other elements, will gradually be released as per the schedule.
Fergusson stated that Blizzard’s objective is to offer more abundant content within a given period than “Diablo III,” aiming to compete with games such as “Destiny 2” produced by Bungie and maintain vitality online.
