Biostar announced that its B550/A520/B450/A320 motherboards have received a new version of BIOS-based on AGESA 1.2.0.7, all of which support Ryzen 7 5800X3D processors with 3D V-Cache technology. At the same time, Biostar confirmed that the X570/X470/X370/B350 motherboards will also get new firmware updates at a later time.
The AGESA 1.2.0.7 BIOS for AM4 platform 500, 400, and 300 series motherboards can comprehensively solve all major and minor problems on the current AMD AM4 platform, including intermittent freeze errors for Windows 10/11 users with fTPM enabled. In addition, support has been added for AMD’s new processors due in 2022, allowing many users to enjoy the performance boosts brought by the latest processors. Due to the previous fTPM problem, the firmware updates based on the AGESA 1.2.0.7 microcode by major motherboard manufacturers have attracted much attention.
Previously, other motherboard manufacturers have also launched new versions of BIOS-based on
AGESA 1.2.0.7, which have been released in the past two months. However, slightly different from other motherboard manufacturers, Biostar chooses to provide the new version of the BIOS from mainstream and low-end motherboards, rather than high-end motherboards or new motherboards.
