Be Quiet! releases Dark Base Pro 701 chassis
Be Quiet! has announced the launch of the Dark Base Pro 701 chassis. The company has stated that the new chassis elevates performance and aesthetics to a new echelon. Featuring a full-mesh design on both the top and the front, it offers versatility and multifunctionality with the option for an inverted installation, streamlining the assembly process.
The overall dimensions of the Dark Base Pro 701 stand at 565 x 249 x 523 mm (including the stand), with a weight of 12.8 kg. It supports Mini-ITX, Micro-ATX, ATX, and E-ATX motherboard formats, easily accommodating the installation requirements of modern, high-performance systems. Users also have the option to construct a system with an inverted layout. It features two ARGB LED strips on the front that cascade downward and connect to an ARGB and fan hub, capable of housing up to eight PWM fans and two additional ARGB devices. Moreover, users can select from a multitude of lighting effects and color modes.
The Dark Base Pro 701 chassis offers up to five 3.5-inch hard drive slots and three 2.5-inch hard drive slots, all with tool-free installation; it boasts 7+3 PCI expansion slots, accommodates CPU coolers up to 185 mm in height, GPUs up to 415 mm in length, and power supplies up to 260 mm. The front I/O panel is designed with a touch interface, including a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, as well as audio and microphone jacks.
In terms of cooling, the chassis can house up to eight fans, specifically: three 120/140 mm fans in the front, supporting 120/140/240/280/360 mm water cooling; three 120/140 mm fans on top, also supporting 120/140/240/280/360 mm water cooling; a 120/140 mm fan in the rear, supporting 120 mm water cooling; and a 120/140 mm fan at the bottom. Additionally, the Dark Base Pro 701 comes standard with four Silent Wings 4 fans.
The Dark Base Pro 701 chassis is scheduled to go on sale on November 14th, with a suggested retail price of $229.90, and includes a three-year warranty. Moreover, Be Quiet! is preparing a white version of the chassis, planned for release next year.
