AYANEO AIR Plus Officially Released
The release of the Steam Deck has brought handheld gaming to the attention of more people, and many manufacturers have launched corresponding products for this market. Recently, AYANEO officially released the AYANEO AIR Plus handheld gaming console.
The AYANEO AIR Plus measures 237×91.4×23.1mm, with increases in size and weight compared to the AYANEO AIR, but with little change in appearance, both using a layout similar to that of an Xbox controller. The console is equipped with a 6-inch touchscreen IPS panel, with a resolution of 1920×1080, covering 120% of sRGB and 85% DCI-P3 color gamuts, with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a maximum brightness of 400 nits.
The AYANEO AIR Plus comes with multiple processor options: Intel Core i3-1215U, AMD Ryzen 5 7520U/Ryzen 3 7320U, and AMD Ryzen 7 6800U.
The Intel Core i3-1215U has two P-cores and four E-cores, with a P-core boost clock of 4.4GHz and 64 sets of EU units in the integrated graphics, with a boost clock of 1.1GHz. The Ryzen 5 7520U and Ryzen 3 7320U both use the Zen2 architecture, with four cores and eight threads, and Radeon 610M integrated graphics with two CUs and a boost clock of 1.9GHz. The main difference between the two is the CPU boost clock, with the former being 4.3GHz and the latter being 4.1GHz. The Ryzen 7 6800U is also a commonly used processor for high-performance Windows handheld gaming consoles, with a Zen3+ architecture, eight cores and sixteen threads, Radeon 680M integrated graphics with 12 CUs, and a boost clock of 2.2GHz.
In terms of interfaces, the AYANEO AIR Plus is equipped with dual Type-C interfaces, a TF card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint unlock module. The two Type-C interfaces of the console with Intel Core i3-1215U and Ryzen 7 6800U processors both support USB4, while the Type-C interfaces of other versions of the console are designed with full functionality, supporting DP video transmission and power supply.
The AYANEO AIR Plus handheld gaming console is equipped with hall sensing mini joystick and hall trigger. The hall sensing mini joystick supports RGB ambient lighting, and players can set the lighting effects through the AYASpace software, with the system displaying different lighting effects according to the battery level; the hall trigger has a pressing stroke of 7.5mm, with a pressing accuracy of up to 0.09mm. The console has a battery capacity of 46.2Wh, with a performance release of up to 28W, a significant improvement over the AYANEO AIR.
The AYANEO AIR Plus comes with a variety of processor and storage combinations, with the version equipped with Intel Core i3-1215U + 8GB RAM + 128GB hard drive having a pre-sale price of $599; the version with AMD Ryzen 3 7320U + 8GB RAM + 128GB hard drive has a pre-sale price of $549; and the version with AMD Ryzen 7 6800U + 16GB RAM + 512GB hard drive has a pre-sale price of $799.
